Celebration, adoration, and practical teaching as you walk in the doors to Christ Fellowship you’re greeted by an usher or greeter. Pre-service prayer time is probably just finishing. As you take your seat the music begins and it is a blend of contemporary and modern praise (often using various styles), celebrating Who God is and what He has done for us. Usually during this time Pastor Terry or one of the other pastors will welcome guests and regulars alike and allow for connections to be made by encouraging everyone to get out of their seats and welcome one another to worship. After a few announcements of what’s coming up and areas for you to get connected, the music will resume. Celebration and praise turns to a time of heart felt and spirit driven worship. As the music closes, the service moves into a time of corporate prayer and communion. Anyone can have their prayer needs prayed for by filling out a prayer card and placing it in one of the prayer boxes before service begins. Pastor Terry will invite the congregation to join him as he prays, cultivating an atmosphere of corporate prayer (knowing God can and desires to hear from all of his children). Communion is available to all believers (regardless of membership) and is available every week, after which an offering will be collected.
The service will then shift focus
to what God has prepared for each of us that day through a time of practical teaching that will encourage and stretch your faith. The message will incorporate Biblical truths with real life application techniques. As service draws to a close, Pastor Terry or one of the other pastors will encourage you with some actual connection points and next steps to take to make the mornings sermon applicable to your everyday life. After service, the Harvest Cafe and Intersection area are open for fellowship and refreshments with the potential for more connections to be made.
A typical service lasts approximately an hour and 50 minutes.
