"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Do you know that everyone of us is called to be a missionary? That’s right, we may not be called to live overseas or work full time in one of thousands of missionary ventures here in the states, but we are called to missions.

Here at Christ Fellowship we strive to make the great commission a part of our everyday life, not only through taking responsibility for sharing the love of Christ with people we come in contact with every day, but also in supporting others, through prayer and financial support, who God has called into what you and I consider “missionary work”.

We take seriously Christ’s final instructions regarding the spread of the gospel. “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." As such, the “mission” of missions at Christ Fellowship focuses as narrowly as our neighborhood and as broadly as the whole world. We believe that the church as a whole should support missionary efforts and leading by example, we “tithe” to missions from every general offering received.

Giving is not the only way to get involved, however. From time to time groups of believers, just like you, give of their time both locally and abroad in short term missions trips. It’s just another way to give of ourselves to see the Great Commission advanced around the world. Consider going with us next time a missions trip comes along. You’ll never be the same again.
