Creative Worship encompasses many areas of ministry at Christ Fellowship, including: the praise team (musicians and vocalists), audio / video / PowerPoint, acting / directing / writing / set construction for holiday productions and church skits, parade ministry, flags, banners, creative dance, special music, special events, and more.
We are always looking for help with the Creative Worship department, especially those willing to serve. Many of the volunteer opportunities in Creative Worship are positions that do require some technical ability, but can be easily trained for over time. And what many people don’t realize about the Creative Worship department is that there are positions for everyone - whether you enjoy the spotlight or not. We have many positions helping make all of the things people see happen on the stage possible. Vocalists and musicians are also needed. Applicants should be skilled and expect to go through a “try out” process and practice process with the current team before ever going on stage for a service.
But the most important part of working with Creative Worship is having a heart for worship. Having an adequate skill level is good (and necessary), but God commands that we worship Him in spirit and in truth. As we strive for excellence in the Creative Worship department, we never lose sight of the fact that we have been called and created to worship God genuinely.
We are also usually looking for people to help with special music for services at Christ Fellowship. This usually occurs during the offering portion of the service. Applicants for special music can also expect to go through a “try out” process. Christmas (and other holiday) productions have become a big part of Christ Fellowship too. Auditions are normally held for acting and singing parts in September. Some of our past Christmas productions have included the original productions “The Gift of Hope”, “The Joy of Christmas”, “Mel’s Clean Cut Christmas”, and "Real Life Christmas Stories". Our 2011 Christmas production, "Christmas in WhoTown", was a musical adaptation of the beloved children's classic staring Cindy Lou and the mean old Mr. Gr____!
